An RICS Level 3 Home Survey is the most comprehensive survey report. It was previously known as an 'RICS Building Survey'. It provides you with an extensive, in-depth analysis of the property's condition and includes advice on defects, repairs and maintenanceoptions.

An RICS Home Buyer Report (Level Two) is an extensive visual inspection designed to provide home buyers with a clear and professional overview of the property’s condition. Conducted by an RICS-certified surveyor, this report identifies any significant issues that could affect the property’s value, safety, or required maintenance. The survey focuses on visible parts of the structure, including the roof, walls, floors, windows, and other key components, and highlights any defects or areas needing attention. To make the findings easy to understand, the report uses a traffic light system: green indicates no repairs are needed, amber signals some attention may be required, and red denotes serious issues that need immediate action. This survey is ideal for conventional properties in reasonable condition and provides valuable insight into any major or minor concerns before purchase, helping buyers make informed decisions.
